We will work with you to consider and plan for the two main stages of retirement planning.
The first stage is accumulating a suitably sized pot of money. We discuss your existing pension provision, analysing performance and on going suitability. We find out if you have access to an employer funded pension scheme and the costs and benefits of joining, whilst also confirming when you wish to retire and the level of income that you feel you may need.
Finally, we will agree how much you can afford to save towards achieving your objective and the amount of investment risk that you would be comfortable in taking, to achieve your retirement goals.
The next stage is utilising your pension pot when you retire in the most effective manner to meet your income requirements. We agree how best to use any assets that you have to meet your income needs, providing for a spouse or dependents, how to minimise tax, the effects of inflation and the level of flexibility that you require.
Once a retirement planning strategy is in place, we encourage regular reviews with you, during which we will discuss any changes to your own circumstances or objectives, discuss the returns and any changes to legislation, before advising you as to whether any changes to your investment should be made.
